About:

Amy Troute Inspired Interior Design is a full-service residential interior design firm creating beautiful homes throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Our team specializes in furnishings for primary and secondary residences and vacation homes.  We work with you to find your inspiration, realize your vision, and create spaces that work for your family and guests, and/or graciously welcome the masses for income-producing vacation rentals.

Our design process, honed over the past two decades, allows us to work anywhere in the PNW and beyond, from our Portland and Bend-based studios. Partnering with receiving warehouses, nationwide vendor resources and trades, we make your experience as seamless as hiring a local firm. Amy and her team love to travel and we’re happy to be on site whenever necessary to keep your project on track.

While our primary focus is furnishings, our expertise extends to collaboration on design, selection of surfaces, finishes and fixtures for new construction and renovation. We work with professional contractors, builders, architects, and craftsmen to help you define your priorities, develop your ideas, and bring your inspiration to life!

We look forward to hearing about your project!  We can make the design process efficient and enjoyable, spending your investment wisely, working together to create a space you can’t wait to live in!

AMY TROUTE - Owner & Principal Designer
Amy Troute brings a wealth of experience and a passion for home to her role as Principal Designer. In 2004, Troute opened “Design for Home,” switching gears from a successful career in marketing and branding to one where she could focus on her new twin daughters while building a business that fuels her passion. Almost 20 years later, Amy Troute Inspired Interior Design is recognized as one of the area’s top design firms, and Troute continues to enjoy the flexibility to balance business and home. In 2019, Troute mixed business with pleasure, taking ATIID to her “happy place,” Bend, Oregon, and continues to welcome new projects throughout Central Oregon. Troute truly loves her work and the relationships with clients, vendors and community. She volunteers with Bend’s Furnish Hope, a nonprofit serving families in need throughout Central Oregon, serves on the board of the Heritage School of Interior Design where she graduated in 2008, and offers internships and guidance to promising new designers whenever possible. Troute balances her time between Portland and Bend, enjoys visits to extended family in Sun Valley, Idaho, and thrives on travel to fabulous new destinations.

AMY JEFFERS - Studio Designer
Amy Jeffers is stepping into the interior design world from 15+ years in the corporate and consulting life. She brings a new perspective to the team, bridging her professional and personal worlds in a holistic way. Amy’s curiosity, ability to listen well, and hold space for others - navigating both the easy and hard things - allows her to be a true partner through the design project journey. She strives to bring authentic humanness to her relationships with transparency, flexibility, and a dash of enthusiasm and humor. Apart from being a relationship builder, she is a rockstar when it comes to execution and project management - thriving on the intersection of to-do-list details and team collaboration. Continuously looking for ways to improve, to push further, to explore something new, take the risk and ultimately make a beautiful experience for those around her.

KATHY WILLIAMS - Purchasing Manager / Administrative Assistant
has bachelor’s degrees in apparel merchandising and interior design, knowledge that she brings to the studio along with work experiences in retail buying, contract furniture sales, project management, and textiles marketing. Her role at ATIID allows her to draw on the various parts of her background to effectively support the company’s design effort as a whole. Williams enjoys a challenge and finds the residential twist on her visual arts theme a rewarding one. She is organized and analytical—but at her best when working in a creative environment alongside other creative people. Left brain or right brain, she strives to provide superior customer service every day. Beyond beautiful spaces, she appreciates opportunities to delve into architecture history, gourmet cuisine, and cultural excursions near and far.

NICOLE SOTO - Design Coordinator
Nicole graduated in 2022 from George Fox University, earning a Bachelor's Degree of Fine Arts in Interior Design. She completed a three month internship with ATIID and is ready to bring a fresh perspective, a passion for creating mindful spaces, and keen organization skills to the team. Nicole loves to collaborate and finds joy in establishing relationships with clients and her peers. When she’s not assisting the design team, organizing the studio or visiting trade showrooms, Nicole prioritizes spending quality time with her friends and family. She loves time the beach, trying different coffee shops, and will drop everything to pet a dog.

ELAINE BOTHE - Architectural Designer
has spent more than 20 years pouring over plans, looking for ways to finish and improve the flow of any space from the grandest homes to the tiniest. She’ll make the most of any space and create thoughtful, comfortable rooms for living or working. This is the magic she brings to our clients. Bothe’s architecture and graphic design degrees, by way of business, engineering and computer science, make her a bit of a self-proclaimed “geek,” and give her the problem-solving skills to think things through thoroughly from the inside out. She delights in smoothing the flow of the most difficult or awkward places by visualizing how someone would use and truly enjoy their space. She’ll make the most of what’s there, and fill in what’s not. Bothe is also an avid mountain biker and cyclist, and enjoys exploring new trails from the Alps in Switzerland, France and Italy to instructing skills all over the Pacific Northwest and in Portland at the local indoor BMX bike park.
